1. Service Description

setget.net provides a free, ephemeral key-value storage service accessible via HTTP API. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use setget.net only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Store personally identifiable information (PII), passwords, API keys, or sensitive credentials
• Store copyrighted material without proper authorization
• Store illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or offensive content
• Store malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Use the service to spam, phish, or distribute unsolicited content
• Attempt to disrupt, damage, or impair the service or its infrastructure
• Abuse the service with excessive requests or automated attacks
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

3. Data Privacy & Security

All data stored on setget.net is considered public. While we implement security measures (HTTPS encryption, password hashing), we make no guarantees about data privacy or security. Anyone who knows your key can access your data unless it is password-protected.

Data Retention: Data expires after the specified TTL period (default: 3 months, maximum: 1 year). We reserve the right to delete any data at any time for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these terms, server maintenance, or capacity management.

4. No Warranty

setget.net is provided without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Service availability or uptime
• Data persistence or reliability
• Performance or response times
• Accuracy or completeness of data
• Freedom from errors, bugs, or security vulnerabilities

The service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall setget.net, its operators, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any other damages arising from the use or inability to use the service

You use the service at your own risk.

6. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, monitor, and remove any content that violates these terms or applicable laws. We may also suspend or ban users who repeatedly violate these terms.

While we may moderate content, we are not responsible for user-generated content and do not endorse any content stored on our service.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the content you store on setget.net. By storing content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, transmit, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the service.

You represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights to store and share any content you upload.

8. Rate Limiting & Abuse Prevention

To ensure fair usage and service availability, we enforce the following limits:

• API requests: 10 requests/second per IP address
• Storage: 25,000 active entries active (non-expired) entries per IP address

We reserve the right to adjust these limits, implement additional throttling, or block access in response to abuse or excessive usage. Actions that may be considered abuse include:

• Automated scraping or bulk downloading
• Denial-of-service attacks or similar disruptive behavior
• Creating an excessive number of keys in a short period
• Any behavior that negatively impacts service availability for other users

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend checking this page periodically for updates.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of the service shall be resolved in the appropriate jurisdiction.

Data Collection

setget.net collects minimal data to operate the service:

• Stored Content: The key-value pairs you store on our service
• Metadata: Timestamps (creation, expiration, last access), data size, and protection status
• Server Logs: Standard HTTP access logs including IP addresses, request paths, and timestamps for security and debugging purposes

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics services. We do not sell, share, or monetize your data.

Data Storage

Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database with Redis caching. Passwords (if used) are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt. All connections use HTTPS encryption.

Data Retention

Data is automatically deleted after expiration (based on TTL settings). We may also delete data to comply with legal requirements or enforce our terms of service.

Third-Party Services

setget.net may use third-party infrastructure providers (hosting, CDN) to deliver the service. These providers may have access to server infrastructure but are bound by their own privacy policies.

Your Rights

Data automatically expires based on your configured TTL settings. Since we do not require accounts or authentication, we cannot identify or provide copies of all data associated with a specific user. If you need content removed immediately, please submit an abuse report.
